Homemade Dog Food (a.k.a. Bulldog Meatballs)

Here’s the promised recipe for homemade dog food following Sunday’s post. Get out the cleaver! Thanks again to @BaronVonZorcula for sending the recipe in. And if you have another homemade dog food recipe feel free to send it to contact@urbanbulldog.com or leave it in the comments below. -UB

7-8 lb. of chicken ribs (I get these from the local grocer who trims them from the breasts they sell for .99/lb.)
1 bunch of kale
4 medium baking potatoes
Handful of random veggie trimmings or whatever I have sitting in the crisper.
(This has been green beans and carrots for the most part.)
1 egg

Microwave the potatoes until done, leave the skins on as they’re packed with nutrients. Hack up the chicken bones and all. Run everything through the food mill (I have a KitchenAid with the food grinder attachment) and mix well.

Form into meatballs or meatloaf and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. This will make roughly a week’s worth of food for our 65 lb. bulldog.
