Although we didn’t help our Toronto bulldog friends find any playmates, the first edition of A Mismatch of Bulldog News was a success judging by the emails I have received. So, please enjoy Volume II of our indefinite series.
This is Izzy, a 1 1/2 year old Frenchie friend. Izzy recently had a benign cyst removed from her head (perhaps you can see the little bald spot over her left eye), but is recovering nicely and offered her mama a rare perfect pose. Izzy looks very wise and I wonder if she’ll consult with Lunchbox on his unrelenting need to shove Sherbert into the bushes when I’m not looking? Anyway, thanks to ace camera woman Juli for sending in Izzy!
Diesel Needs Some Love
Perhaps you remember Mr. Tyson Porkchop? Well, his mama, Madelyn, recently heard through the grapevine of a sad EBD left chained up in an alley with no food/water and in extreme hot weather (!!). She rushed to his aid and became his foster mama. After an initial clean bill of health, and a gameplan involving the Long Island Bulldog Rescue, it become obvious Diesel (5) wasn’t well. Back to the vet they went and came home with a diagnosis of severe kidney failure. Madelyn doesn’t want to part with Diesel until he’s thriving, but she’s faced with a daunting task. If you’re interested in donating to Diesel’s cause…or just want to stare at his cute mug and be updated on his progress please visit Diesel’s Facebook page: www.facebook.com/dieselthebulldog.
If Only Texas Were Closer to New York
I recently received an email from Lesley of Dallas who is interested in finding a new EBD in her area. Lesley’s first bulldog Starr (or Starrbaby as she put it) passed away in 2005 at the age of four after a battle with cancer. Lesley isn’t interested in purchasing her new bulldog from a breeder or a kennel, so if anyone knows of any Mom&Pop outfits in North Texas, please drop us a line (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we’ll pass that information along to Lesley. We’ve also been promised some pictures of Starrbaby, so stay tuned.
Seriously, I’m Going to Stop Doing My Own Videos…
